The Shreds are a powerful indie rock trio based in Nevada City, CA. Their debut album, Stranger, released in July 2009, was produced by five-time Academy Award nominee sound engineer Michael Herbick. The Shreds have won both the 2009 John Lennon Educational Bus Battle of the Bands and the 2008 SN&R Jammies competition. They were also nominated for a 2009 SN&R Sammies Award (Outstanding Teen Band category)
